The Mycelial Path of Creative Expression

When I first began my new graphic novel, titled Soul Flight Diaries, I told myself—and others—that I would illustrate and release a new story every week. It felt clear, bold, structured. Like a promise I was ready to keep.
But something happened along the way.

Instead of following that neat, linear plan, I found myself sidetracked. Or at least, that’s how it felt at first. I began sharing smaller stories—glimmers of insight, poetic reflections, dream interpretations, symbolic art, and tender moments of self-healing. I followed where the energy flowed. I followed the sparks.
And something magical occurred.
Those sparks began to ripple.
People resonated.
They wrote to me saying my words helped them see their dreams differently, reminded them they weren’t alone, encouraged them to create, to rest, to remember. What I thought were detours… turned out to be sacred paths.
I now see that what I’ve been walking is not a straight line, but a mycelial path—alive, interconnected, organic. The Soul Flight Diaries are not just long-form illustrated stories. They are living expressions of soul remembering, scattered like spores into the world.
And yes, one day they may become a book. But for now, they are becoming something else: a radiant trail of light woven through art, words, and dreams. A rhythm that moves with me, not against me.
So if you’re like me—if you’ve ever felt like you’re not doing things the “right” way, or keeping up with some imagined standard—take heart. Your soul might be speaking in glimmers, not outlines. Your path may be lunar, not linear.
And that’s not a flaw.
That’s your design.
I’m still here, still sharing.
Just differently than I expected.
More alive, more true.
More me.
Thank you for walking with me.
And thank you for receiving these sparks.

🍄 What is a mycelial path? In nature, mycelium is the vast underground network of fungi that nourishes entire forests. It connects plants and trees, sharing nutrients and information silently through the soil. It’s ancient, alive, and mostly unseen — but it supports everything.
Mystically, walking a mycelial path means trusting the quiet, nonlinear journey. It's about leaving sparks, not checklists. Ripples, not roadmaps. It honors the unseen work of the soul — and how our presence can nourish others even when we don’t realize it. |
