The Mermaid's Magic

"She swims in the ocean of mystery and revels in the hidden treasures of life."

This is a close-up of one of my recent paintings. It's called: "THE MERMAIDS MAGIC"

How was it made?

I used all traditional materials such as watercolor, yupo paper, gold leaf, ink, gouache, acrylic, etc -- All hand-drawn and hand-painted in many parts -- AND then I scanned all the different parts and collaged them in Photoshop.

Why do I work this way?

Working this way allows me to explore with a variety of materials freely without worry. Then later I can play with all the different parts intuitively, as a conductor of an orchestra with a variety of visual sounds. I play with them till they finally reflect the music in my soul.
